Sudley Road Corridor to Be Studied by Regional Experts in 2025

The panel, also known as TAP, brings together regional experts to evaluate an area with unique circumstances. This TAP will examine several issues along the Sudley Road corridor, including land use, economic development, housing, equity and transportation issues.

The panel will meet in early 2025 over a two-day period. The panel will be constituted of experts in real estate, economic development and planning. Site visits and interviews will be conducted, followed by a presentation to the sponsor organization and a written report from the Urban Land Institute with expert recommendations.

Heads Up: Overnight Ramp Closures at I-66 and Route 28

Next week, more work is planned for the Route 28/-66 interchange.

From VDOT: The following ramps are scheduled to be closed multiple nights, Monday, July 8, through Friday, July 12, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for finishing construction work as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway project. Drivers are advised to follow the signed detours

2 Dead in I-66 Crash: Woman, 27, and 11-year-old Girl

Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Friday, June 21, 2024, at 2:29 p.m. on Interstate 66 westbound at the 46-mile marker in Prince William County.

A disabled 2019 Hyundai Tucson had pulled off the interstate onto the right shoulder. A 2018 Isuzu NPR HD truck, traveling westbound on Interstate 66, departed the right side of the interstate and collided with the disabled Tucson. The Tucson struck the jersey wall and was pushed approximately 400 feet along the shoulder.
