Sammy Infante reached three more times, but the FredNats fell to the Lynchburg Hillcats 5-2 Thursday at Bank of the James Stadium.

Jackson Rutledge pitched eight shutout innings with six strikeouts, Sammy Infante had three hits and a two-run double, and the FredNats shut out the Lynchburg Hillcats 2-0 in game one of the 2022 Carolina League North Championship Playoff series in front of 4,000+ fans at Virginia Credit Union Stadium.

The FredNats sent the regular season out in style Sunday in Salem, blasting off for a 14-2 victory to finish the regular slate 75-55.

Geraldi Diaz homered and picked up a couple of RBIs, but the FredNats fell for the first time at Salem Memorial Ballpark 4-2 Friday.

The FredNats roared back from an early 5-0 deficit to win for a fifth straight time Thursday at Carilion Clinic Field. The FredNats scored seven times in the final four innings to seal a 9-7 win.

The FredNats withstood a late Salem surge to notch a 10-8 win Wednesday at Carilion Clinic Field. Jarlin Susana struck out six while pitching into the fifth, and Branden Boissiere went deep to power the win.

The FredNats clinched the second-half North Division crown and reserved a spot in the Carolina League playoffs with a resounding 15-5 win at Salem Memorial Ballpark Tuesday evening. 

The FredNats put two aboard in the ninth but ultimately could not overcome a 3-2 deficit late Friday at Virginia Credit Union Stadium vs. the Delmarva Shorebirds.

Cortland Lawson hit a go-ahead home run in the 7th inning and drove in four runs, and the FredNats beat the Delmarva Shorebirds for a 12th straight time on Thursday night by a final of 11-9.
