After two-year hiatus, the Sentara 3D mammography van returns to communities in Northern Virginia.
You can spot the van in under-served communities across the region. Employees inside the van provide screenings to help detect breast cancer — to 20 appointments a day.
The Prince William County Department of Public Works Neighborhood Services and Solid Waste Divisions have scheduled Dumpster Days across the county beginning in April.
Large dumpsters, placed in neighborhoods during Dumpster Days, offer neighbors a chance to come together to clean up their homes, yards, and communities of unwanted clutter and debris.
The store will be the future site of a new Prince William County Government crisis receiving center designed to help residents experiencing a mental breakdown. The center will provide a place, other than a hospital or jail, for patients to receive help and recover.

The Marine Corps Marathon Organization 17.75K will take place Saturday, March 25 at Prince William Forest Park near Dumfries, causing some road closures and delays.
Over 3,000 runners will take to the 11.03-mile course at 7 a.m., with the last participant estimated to finish about 11 a.m. Significant delays should be expected between 4:30 a.m. and noon on the day of the event.

Volunteer Prince William is in urgent need of a Spanish-speaking volunteer who can be on call to translate for Alternative Community Service clients who want to enroll in our program but speak little or no English. The volunteer will participate in a conference call between staff and the client to translate the questions and responses during the initial intake interview. Volunteers will be scheduled ahead of time for specific shifts and must be available by phone during these times. Volunteers must be proficient in English and Spanish and able to speak clearly. They must also ensure that the information they translate remains accurate and maintains the same style and meaning as originally intended.
