Today at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, This afternoon, units were dispatched to the 8000 blk of Leland Road (Yorkshire). Crews arrived with fire showing from the rear of a two-story single-family dwelling.

Fire crews initiated an attack to stop the rapidly spreading blaze. At one point, crews were forced to change tactics due to the amount of fire.

A Dumfries-area man faces charges after a fight outside the Potomac Shores neighborhood clubhouse.

On Sunday, December 10 at 10:45 p.m, officers responded to the Potomac Shores Recreational Center located at 1801 Potomac Shores Pkwy near Dumfries to investigate a fight. Upon arriving at the location, officers located a 59-year-old man, suffering from injuries to his face.

A Fredericksburg police spokeswoman said at 5:37 a.m., December 7, police received a call for a pedestrian struck on the train tracks in Prince Edward and Frederick streets, near the city’s train station. Patrol officers and detectives went to the scene and found a body.

At 8:12 am, the medical examiner arrived on the scene and began conducting their investigation. The Fredericksburg Police Department is working in conjunction with the CSX Police Department.

Manassas City Manager Patrick Pate will speak to the Prince William Chamber of Commerce members.

Pate has served as City Manager for the City of Manassas since October 2013.  In his role as city manager, he is responsible for an operating budget of $328 million and a capital budget of $205 million, providing all aspects of local government service delivery.
