Richard L. Hackett, 40, of Woodbridge, died March 2, 2020, in his home surrounded by his family.

A Life Celebration service will be 1pm Friday, March 6, 2020 at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd. Dale City, VA 22193, followed by interment at Woodbine Cemetery, Manassas, VA.

Manassas Park agreed to $3.1 million deal with Maryland-based Library Systems & Services to create and manage a new library at the site of the old Generals Ridge Golf Course, now called Bloom’s Park, over the course of 10 years.

Fox News Channel anchor Bret Baier, one of the co-moderators of a town hall featuring Micheal Bloomberg told his TV audience there were multiple protests happening Monday night in Manassas.

For about a minute, the hour-long town hall that was broadcast live on the Fox News Channel from the Hilton Performing Arts Center in Manassas went off the rails.

There’s a new Board of County Supervisors in Prince William, and some elected leaders on the public body are looking for ways to serve more people outside of regular meeting dates and times.

Supervisors have been talking about holding more evening sessions so that commuters might have the opportunity to come and speak on an issue. Occoquan District Supervisor Kenny Boddye has also suggested meetings to be held on Saturdays, something that is unheard of in Prince William County but commonplace for the Arlington County Board, which holds its regular meetings at 8:30 a.m.
