Mary Anne (Fulton/Osterritter) Money passed away at the age of 87 on December 14, 2020.
Mary Anne was born on May 17, 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was so proud of her Pittsburgh roots and could find other Pittsburghers in any store, restaurant or cruise ship! Following graduation from high school, she attended Slippery Rock State Teachers College. After marriage, she settled in Woodbridge, VA.
My lovely and resourceful wife Gale devised the 12 High School Walking Challenge to provide socially distant exercise for ourselves, and our three dogs, Molly, Woofy, and Jackson.
Manassas City Schools is reminding parents and students it continues to distribute free meals during the pandemic. Food is being distributed from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Monday at Osbourn High School, located at 1977 Eagle Way in Manassas.
Students will be given a five-day supply of meals. Any student under age 18 is eligible for free meals.
The Virginia Council on the Interstate Compact for Military Children has awarded Anthony Burns Elementary School 2020 Purple Star Designation. The Virginia Purple Star Designation applies to military-friendly schools that demonstrate a major commitment to students and families connected to the nation’s military.
“Many of our families have parents working not only at MCB Quantico, Fort Belvoir, and NSF Dahlgren, but also at other major installations in the National Capital Region,” said SCPS Superintendent Dr. Scott Kizner. “I am proud that 11 of our schools hold Purple Star Designation, reinforcing our commitment to these military families.”
