According to new maps approved by the Virginia State Supreme Court on Tuesday, multiple congress members continue to represent Prince William County.
The state’s second-largest jurisdiction is split with residents in the county’s eastern portion, from Hoadly Road to the Potomac River, living in the newly-relocated 7th Congressional District currently represented by Democrat Abigail Spanbeger, who lives outside Richmond.

Detectives in Manassas are investigating the death of a 19-year-old man.
Details are sketchy. However, police were called to the 8300 block of Magnolia Court, near Stonewall Park, at 5 p.m. Monday, December 27.
The Prince William County Landfill will cut its operating hours next month.
Due to a shortage of truck drivers, the landfill will be closed Sundays beginning January 9 until further notice. The change will affect the dump at 14811 Dumfries Road and a composting facility at 13000 Balls Ford Road near Gainesville.

Shots fired outside at home near county government center
A man parking his car outside his home had his window shot out late last night on Bedford Glen Way, about a half-mile from the Prince William County Government Center in Woodbridge.
Ed Wallis, the manager of operations for the Stafford County Regional Airport, will retire after 20 years at the airport.
Wallis received a commendation from the Stafford County Board of Supervisors for his work with the airport, returning to 2001. In that time, Wallis served in many positions, including contract maintenance, operations specialist, and operations technician. Wallis served as interim airport manager of operations before achieving the post permanently.
