The Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday is just around the corner; a time when family and friends come together to celebrate all it has to offer including a home cooked meal. But it’s also a time when home fires and home fire injuries occur due to cooking fires.
John, known to his family as Alex, died November 17, 2021, after a heart attack.
He was just two weeks shy of his 50th birthday. He graduated from Washington-Lee High School of Arlington after attending Potomac Senior High School in Woodbridge. He also attended The Lab School of Washington D.C.
Just before 8:30 a.m. on Monday, November 22, Stafford County Fire and Rescue units were called structure fire at a home on Kettlebrook Court, about a half-mile from Paddy’s Public House in North Stafford.
Crews reported a fire in a garage on the front of the home. Crews made entry and found the fire had started extending into the home. The fire was marked under control approximately ten minutes after arrival.
