Wawa will offer its customers free coffee on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, in honor of its 100th store.

Customers will receive one free, any-size hot coffee offer in all its Virginia store locations to toast the milestone. The 100th store location sits at 9700 Fairfax Boulevard in Fairfax.


For the sixth time, the business community came together on August 24, 2022, at the Fredericksburg Expo Center, at 2371 Carl D. Silver Parkway, to honor and thank the region’s first responders for their contributions to public safety.

With over 300 first responders and community members attending the event, Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears provided the keynote address. She told those gathered that when they see footage of people smashing windows or burning businesses in other areas–and get the feeling that the world has turned upside down–they may wonder: “Is this the country I’m fighting for, is it worth it? I’m going to tell you, it’s worth it, America is worth fighting for,” she said. “What you do, first responders is not in vain. We see it and we’re glad you’re there because when you are running toward the violence, toward the fire, and we’re running the other way.”


The Manassas-based distiller announced a partnership with Ruby Wines, Inc. and Slocum & Sons, which will place its products in stores in Connecticut and Massaschusetts. KO Distilling products can also be found in Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, D.C.

Ruby Wines, Inc. has served New England since 1933, while Slocum & Sons have been distributing wine and spirits in Connecticut since 1976.


A new trampoline park in Woodbridge makes parents and their children want to jump for joy.

Sky Zone Woodbridge offers a wide variety of activities, from a wall-to-wall trampoline for freestyle jumping, an area with nothing but foam blocks to leap into, and the SkySlam trampoline court — a full basketball court, all under one roof.


Lateef will serve as the Board’s chairman of the Board overseeing operations at UVA Prince William Medical Center in Manassas, UVA Haymarket Medical Center, outpatient clinics in our area, as well as other large UVA medical centers, UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, and the School of Medicine and Nursing.

Lateef is a board-certified ophthalmologist and has owned Advanced Ophthalmology, Inc., since 2002, in Manassas and Woodbridge. He’s also served as the Prince William County School Board Chairman At-large since 2018, and he’s expected to seek another four-year term in 2023.


A total of 13 lucky residents will have the opportunity to receive free dental services at Neibauer Dental Care Dale City on Saturday, September 10.

Dr. Charanpreet Ashtakala and the Neibauer Dental Care Dale City team will be giving back to the community as part of Free Dentistry Day, a day dedicated to providing free dental care to the growing number of Americans without dental insurance.


With the launch of the first RIoT Accelerator Program in Virginia in April, graduates from the inaugural cohort are ready to take the stage.

Business startups will give pitches, and business founders will be telling their stories and sharing about their business growth on the market square outside the museum, under the stars.


The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce will host the 6th annual First Responders Appreciation Breakfast on August 24 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Fredericksburg Expo Center, 2371 Carl D. Silver Parkway in Fredericksburg.

The business community comes together to honor and thank our region’s outstanding first responders for their outstanding contributions to our safety and well-being. Awards will be presented in the following categories: Heroism (Gold, Silver or Bronze Awards; Meritorious Civilian Award); Investigative (Excellence in Criminal Investigation Award; Merit Award; The Business of First Responding Award); and the Citizen Valor Award.
