From the Prince William County Government: Prince William County personal property taxes for 2021 are due on October 5, 2021. If customers have not received a tax bill for their vehicles and believe they should have, contact the Taxpayer Services Office at (703) 792-6710 or by email at [email protected].
The Taxpayer Services office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Telephone service is from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

From Prince William police: On September 29 at 2:08AM, officers responded to the Bristow Vape & Smoke store located at 1085 Nokesville Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary.
Fairfax County ends arrest blotter over concerns data could be used in effort to deport immigrants
Fairfax County police have stopped publishing a weekly arrest blotter after county officials found it violated a policy that restricts the dissemination of personal information that could aid immigration enforcement. [The Washington Post]
Customers at the Woodbridge DMV will see a new traffic light erected outside the building.
The new light at Caton Hill Road and Great Oaks Drive should be operational this fall, said Virginia Department of Transportation spokeswoman Kathleen Leonard. While the DMV, located at 2731 Caton Hill Road, is operating by appointment only due to the pandemic, it is usually one of the busiest DMV offices in the region.

A 69-year-old man faces charges stemming from the crash at the Truslow Road bridge that left drivers sitting in backed-up traffic for hours.
Man, 22 found dead inside car
From the Stafford sheriff’s office: At 10:18 p.m. Thursday, September 23, deputies responded to the 3400 block of Jefferson Davis Highway near Acadia Street for a fatal automobile accident. Relatives of the 22-year-old male victim located him deceased in the damaged vehicle on the shoulder of the road. The victim’s vehicle is a grey Hyundai coupe. The accident is believed to have occurred around 6:00 a.m. on September 23 and went undiscovered until last night. Anyone with information on this accident or may have witnessed this vehicle being operated in the area is asked to contact Deputy R.A. Weatherholtz at 540-658-4682.

A Culpeper was killed in a crash in Nokesville on Friday, September 24.
From Prince William police — On September 24 at 2:02PM, investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 13700 block of Nokesville Rd. in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a crash.
Cops nab downtown Manassas prowler
From Manassas police: On August 15, 2021, the Manassas City Police Department began investigating several property crimes that occurred in the Old Town area. During the overnight hours, on August 15, an unknown individual entered The Things I Love located at 9084 Center St and removed numerous items of value. That same night, items were stolen from a vehicle parked in the Candy Factory parking lot, and a citizen reported an attempted burglary at a residence in the 9500 Block of Main St. Additional similar incidents occurred in the weeks following.
