Judson Anne (Juddy) Shumaker 77, of Woodbridge, VA passed away peacefully on July 5, 2014. She was born April 23, 1937 in Virginia. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Driscoll Mason and Rudolph Mason; and her son, Cecil C. Shumaker, II. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Cecil (C.C.) Shumaker of Woodbridge; a daughter, Margaret Shumaker Pearson; and son-in-law, Allen Pearson of Chantilly, Va,; a daughter-in-law, Beverli Shumaker of Omaha, NE,; two grandchildren, Rachelle Cardiel of Omaha, NE, and Mason Shumaker of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, NE; two great grandchildren, Madison Cardiel and Brooke Cardiel of Omaha, NE.

Family and Friends will be received at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd, Dale City VA 22193 on Thursday, July 10 2014 from 7-9pm. A life celebration service will be celebrated on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 11:00am. Interment will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at National Memorial Park, King David, 7400 Lee Highway, Falls Church VA 22042 at 11:00am.

Scott Lee Peterson, 54, of Triangle, VA passed away peacefully on July 1, 2014, at Virginia Hospital Center after a brief illness.

Scott was born on July 18, 1959 in Germany. He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Betty Peterson and is survived by his twin sister, Heidi Peterson of Woodbridge, VA and his life partner, Duke Fancher of Arlington, VA.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — Sheriff’s deputies tracked a woman suspected in a hit and run crash to her house and arrested her over the weekend.

The crash occurred at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of U.S. 17 and Banks Ford Parkway in Stafford County. A man told Stafford sheriff’s deputies that a car driven by a woman slammed into the rear of his car as he was coming to the stop at a signal light at the intersection, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — A collision involving five vehicles, including one with a “student driver” decal, resulted in injuries and blocked an intersection on Garrisonville Road (Va. 610) during morning rush hour in North Stafford today.
