Death Investigation *VICTIM IDENTIFIED – Detectives from the Homicide Unit have positively identified the body located on March 30 along the creek bed in Powells Creek near Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191). Detectives are currently working in conjunction with the Medical Examiner's Office to determine the exact cause of death. There is no public threat or need for concern from the surrounding community as this incident does not appear to be random and no foul play is suspected at this time. Death Investigation [Previously Released] – On March 30 at 12:51PM, officers responded to investigate human remains located along the creek bed in Powells Creek near Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191). Detectives with the Homicide Unit are currently working to recover the remains which will be transported to the Medical Examiner's Office for further examination and identification.
