Details for Manassas Veterans Day Parade announced

VetPar is pleased to these details for the 7th Annual Greater Manassas Veterans Day Parade. The parade will be held on Saturday, November 7th, 2015 at 11:00am and will honor past and present women veterans.

Our Grand Marshal is Brigadier General Wilma L. Vaught, USAF, Retired.

Service representatives include: 1st Lieutenant Elizabeth Lewis, US Army Nurse Corps, WWII; Corporal Josephine, US Marine Corps, WWII; S1C Evelyn Marshall, US Navy WAVES, WWII; 1st Lieutenant Elizabeth Haynes, US Air Force, Korea; and Storekeeper First Class Magdalene Cobb, US Coast Guard (Retired), Vietnam. Marching and pipe bands include: American Originals Fyfe and Drum Corps; Kingsman Academy PCS Marching Knights; Osbourn “Screaming Eagles” Marching Band; Fusion Marching Cadets Jr., Drum and Bugle; Northern Virginia Firefighters Emeralds; and Police Pipes and Drums.

There will be an Americans in Wartime Museum float and Sgt. Woody, a retired Marine Corps bomb dog will also join 60 other participants in this parade. The route will follow Center Street, and pass the reviewing stand at the Harris Pavilion.
