A shopping center off of Liberia Road in Manassas has been evacuated.
Manassas fire and rescue have been called to the area of the Davis Ford Crossing shopping center for a gas leak, according to Manassas spokeswoman Patty Prince.
A paving company that was doing work in the shopping center parking lot struck a gas meter behind the shopping center, according to Prince.
Columbia Gas is on the scene, sources said.
