$1 million winning ticket sold in Woodbridge

Someone bought a $1 million winning Virginia Lottery ticket from a 7-Eleven store in Woodbridge.

The winning ticket was purchased at the conveinece store at the intersection of Caton Hill and Minnieville roads. Its winning numbers were drawn Tuesday night.

Here’s more in a press release from Virginia Lottery:

The winning numbers for last night’s Mega Millions drawing were 3-7-44-63-67 and the Mega Ball number was 12. This ticket matched the first five numbers and missed only the Mega Ball number. That wins Mega Millions’ second prize of $1 million. Had the ticket matched all six numbers, it would have won the jackpot.

Winning tickets in Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle will be announced at 2 p.m. on Thursday. Along with the three $1 million winners, there will be six $25,000 winners and 300 tickets that each win $500. All 330,000 raffle tickets have been bought.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesday and Friday nights at 11:00. Drawings are broadcast on TV stations across Virginia and streamed live at valottery.com and on the Lottery’s Facebook page. The odds of winning the $1,000,000 prize in Mega Millions are 1 in 18,492,204.
