Stafford, Va. –– Students at Stafford High School have the day off because of a power outage.
The county school system reported the closure during the early overnight hours.
Employees were placed on code one status and students told not come to class.
“A power outage at the school makes it impossible for classes to be held,” stated Stafford schools spokeswoman Valerie Cottongim.
There’s no word yet on what caused the power outage or if there is an estimated time of repair.
