DALE CITY, Va. –Â On August 27, a 23-year-old woman told police that after an argument, she was assaulted, knocked to the ground, and choked by the male suspect. Upon arrival, the suspect was arrested at the home by police. Â

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On August 27th at 12:33AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3900 block of Desoto Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 23 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim, knocking her to the ground. At one point, the accused began to choke the victim. Minor injuries were reported. The accused remained at home and was detained without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
