TRIANGLE,Va. — Two charged in connection with a botched burglary.

Residential Burglary –
On October 24th at 8:07PM, police responded to a residence located in the 18200 block of Joplin Rd in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary in progress.
A caller reported to police that he heard loud noises coming from a neighbor’s residence.
Officers arrived and discovered that the rear door to the home was forced open. A police K-9 was used to check the residence. No one was located inside.
While investigating, officers located a truck parked to the rear of the residence which contained items that were removed from the house. Upon checking the truck, a purse was located which contained identification for Connie GARCIA.
Detectives from the Property Crimes Unit were able to determine that the accused suspects listed below forcibly entered the residence and removed several items which were loaded onto the truck. The truck was unable to start and the suspects fled prior to police arrival.
Officers and detectives were able to locate the suspects nearby. Following the investigation, both suspects were arrested.

Gregory Gene GARCIA, 41, of 17871 Curtis Dr in Dumfries
Charged with 1 count of burglary and 2 counts of grand larceny

Connie Renee GARCIA, 36, of 17871 Curtis Dr in Dumfries
Charged with 1 count of burglary and 1 count of grand larceny
Court date: November 13, 2013 | Bond: $2,000 secured
