HAYMARKET, Va. — Thousands were expected in Haymarket Saturday for the annual Stars and Stripes Festival.
Police in the tiny town shut down a portion of Va. 55 for a street fair between 1 and 6 p.m. Saturday featuring a rock climbing wall, food, cold drinks, and several vendors.
Next to the street fair, a beer garden complete with live performances from bands.
Following the festival, a summer concert series for Haymarket was scheduled to continue featuring more live music from 6 to 9 p.m.
