No VRE service Friday

Virginia Railway Express will not operate Friday Dec. 31, 2010 in observance of New Year’s Eve.

The commuter railroad will resume full service Monday Jan. 3, 2011.

Today, VRE operated trains only designated on the schedule as S.

The next time the railroad plans to modify their schedule will be Jan. 17, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, according to a press release.
