WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A window was shot out at R. Dean Kilby Elementary School over the weekend.
School officials said the shooting happened sometime between Friday night and early Saturday.
Prince William County Public Schools spokesman Phil Kavits said the division notified neighbors about the shooting via a letter sent home with students at the school.
No one was injured, and the school building on Botts Avenue in Woodbridge was unoccupied when shots were fired, said Kavits.
The schools serves the communities of Marumsco Village and Marumsco Hills.
