SALEM, Va. — Salem won two completed games from the Nationals today at LewisGale Field. The Red Sox won a suspended game 10-0 and a rain shortened game over the P-Nats 6-2.
Play resumed with the score Salem 6-0 over Potomac in the bottom of the fourth from a contest that was stopped yesterday because of rain. Salem scored all six runs in the first inning yesterday off of Nationals starter Adam Olbrychowski.
The Red Sox added two runs in the sixth on a Jackie Bradley Jr. RBI double and Brandon Jacobs sacrifice fly. They added one more in each of the seventh and eighth to win the completed first game 10-0.
Keith Couch (4-2) got the win as he tossed all five innings played today striking out two. Olbrychowski (1-4) took the loss failing to finish the first inning while giving up six earned runs.
