Check Cashing Store Robbed

DALE CITY, Va. — A check cashing store in Center Plaza in Dale City was robbed early Monday.

Police were called at 8:49 a.m. to Ace Check Cashing at 4337 Dale Boulevard after an employee told police a man walked into the lobby just after he had opened the store, displayed a handgun, and then demanded cash, according to police reports.

The suspect tied together the woman’s hands and then took cash from the store.

Police surrounded the area in an attempt to locate the man but they were unable to locate him.

The woman was not injured, according to police.

The suspect was described as black, between 28 and 30-years-old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, with a medium build, black hair and green eyes. He was wearing dark pants, black shoes, a blue jacket, black mask and gloves.

Burglary
On March 13 at 3:07 a.m., police responded to the Linden Park Apartments rental office located at 3600 Jurgensen Drive in Triangle for an alarm. Police arrived and discovered a side window which had been broken out. Entry is believed to have been made, however no items were reported missing. A perimeter was established and a police K-9 was utilized in an attempt to locate a potential suspect. No one was located.

Attempted burglary
On March 11 at 11:04 p.m., police responded to the 15700 block of Tassia Ln in Woodbridge for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that she was in her bedroom when she heard the sound of glass breaking. The homeowner fled the residence and contacted police. No entry is believed to have been gained into the residence and no items were reported missing. The homeowner never saw the potential intruder and was unable to provide police with a description.

Attempted burglary
On March 12 at 4:48 p.m., police responded to the 16600 block of Geddy Court in Woodbridge for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 2 p.m. and 4:45 p.m., an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through the front door which was damaged. No entry is believed to have been gained into the residence and no items were reported missing.
