‘Loyalty Oath’ Plan Tossed Out

It appears the controversial Republican loyalty oath is no more.

Conservative media outlet Bearing Drift is reporting the Republican Party of Virginia has notified the State Board of Elections they will rescind their request to require voters in the upcoming March 6 Primary Election to sign a pledge to vote Republican in November’s General Election.

The plan, dubbed a loyalty oath, was scrutinized by locally elected officials and by Gov. Robert F. McDonnell.
