PLN Poll: Too soon to plan a high school graduation ceremony?

Coming out of the dark? Osbourn High School in Manassas is the first in our region to announce it would hold an in-person graduation ceremony in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Potomac Local News’ Susie Webb broke this story late Monday night.

You’ll remember, the spread of the virus abruptly ended school for all students across Virginia on March 13, leaving soon-to-be graduating seniors without any idea as to whether or not they would ever be able to participate in a traditional high school graduation ceremony.

What you do think? Is it too soon for school officials to be discussing holding a mass gathering of people, or is this the kind of optimism that our region needs to win over the coronavirus’ devastating effects on our community and economy?
