Potomac Mills will host “Role Models”, a first-time charitable event recognizing five female community leaders, on Saturday, October 29 at 11 a.m. in the Neighborhood 1 Fashion District at Potomac Mills. 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit three local charitable organizations.
Role Models will pay tribute to a prominent group of women from our community: Brenda Bryant (Prince William Chapter of the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation), Linda Halstead (Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Mid-Atlantic), Jamie Lytle (Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Mid-Atlantic), Sara Nielsen (Fashion for Paws benefitting the Washington Humane Society) and Lydia Stewart (Prince William Chapter of the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation). Special guest Aly Jacobs from Mix 107.3 FM will help recognize the honorees.
“We are proud to honor these women who play such a vital role in our local community,” said Caroline Barry Green, director of marketing and business development for Potomac Mills. “This new event will highlight our position as a fashion-forward destination, while continuing to give back to a variety of important causes.”
The $25 event ticket price includes a live designer fashion show courtesy of Bloomingdale’s – The Outlet Store, an awards presentation, live music, refreshments, swag bags, and giveaways.
Potomac Mills’ Role Models, sponsored in part by IKEA, Samsonite Factory Outlet and Northern Virginia Magazine, will serve as the finale to Potomac Mills’ Celebrating Women, a premiere month-long celebration designed to honor and empower women.
