And the Winners Are: Weber Rector Real Estate Services, Inc., Excellence in Finance/Insurance/Real Estate

MANASSAS — Established in 1994, Weber Rector Real Estate Services has brokered over $765 million dollars worth of commercial real estate transactions. That’s a pretty significant number, and one of the reasons they won the 2018 Excellence in Real Estate award from the Prince William Chamber of Commerce.

The Manassas-based firm is considered one of the most established commercial real estate brokerage firms serving Northern Virginia, spanning Prince William, Fauquier, Culpeper and Stafford counties, and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.

From 2016 to 2017, they nearly doubled their sales and leasing volume.

And yet, the area Weber Rector serves is one that also offers significant challenges, including maintaining personal connections with long-time clients in a busy, tech-saturated culture. According to the Chamber, to overcome this challenge, Weber Rector is intentional about scheduling face-to-face meetings with clients and understanding each client’s preferred method of contact and communication.

“We’re very proud to have received this illustrious award,” Coleman Rector, Principal Broker, said. “Weber Rector has been doing business in Prince William County for 24 years and has received much support from the Chamber. Prince William County is a growing, thriving community, and WR is proud to play a positive part in its growth and development.”

Part of that role includes supporting area nonprofits, including Habitat for Humanity, the Manassas Housing Trust Fund, Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center, Rainbow Center 4-H Therapeutic Equestrian Program, Transitional Housing B.A.R.N, Youth for Tomorrow and Boys and Girls Club – Carteret Branch.

When asked about projects they have especially enjoyed, Rector said, “We are particularly excited about two new development projects we’ve been working on – Messenger Place in the City of Manassas and the Abberly Avera apartments at University Village in Prince William County.”

A mix of apartments and retail space, Messenger Place sits on the land that used to house the city’s now-defunct daily newspaper, the Manassas Journal Messenger, which closed in 2012. The Rector Companies started development in May of 2017.

Abberly Averra, at University Village, near the Prince William County George Mason Campus, will also feature apartments.
