North Stafford, Va. –– Fire and rescue crews were called to a garage fire on Keystone Drive, just past Mount Ararat Baptist Church on Va. 610 Thursday night.
The fire broke out at 8:18 p.m., and after fire crews determined no one was inside the house they began a defensive attack on the fire, said Stafford fire and rescue spokesman Mark Doyle.
No one was injured in the blaze, however, a dog was killed in the fire.
It took fire crews 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation, said Doyle.
