
In an incident on November 17, a police officer was injured in Woodbridge when a driver attempted to evade arrest. The driver, in a black Infiniti sedan with a stolen license plate, reversed into another vehicle and struck the officer. The officer managed to jump onto the trunk to avoid further harm. The vehicle fled north on Richmond Highway, entering Fairfax County, where it was lost from sight. The officer suffered minor injuries.
In another incident, a 21-year-old woman was shot by a family member during a domestic dispute on Cardinal Crest Dr. The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, a 20-year-old man, was arrested nearby after fleeing the scene.
Additionally, a domestic-related stabbing occurred at Woodbridge Station Apartments. A 34-year-old man was stabbed by a family acquaintance, who then barricaded himself in a room. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and the suspect was arrested after a standoff.

Attempted Malicious Wounding of a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On November 17 at 3:37PM, officers attempted to stop the driver of a vehicle in the 14500 block of Richmond Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) for a stolen license plate. As officers approached the vehicle, the driver reversed and struck another vehicle before continuing backward and striking an officer as they stood nearby. The officer was able to jump onto the trunk area to avoid further injury as the vehicle drove off. The vehicle continued northbound on Richmond Hwy, eventually into Fairfax County where officers lost sight of the vehicle. The officer sustained minor injuries from the impact. No other injuries were reported. The driver was described a black male in his late teens to early 20s with dreadlocks wearing grey sweatpants and a black hooded sweatshirt. The vehicle was a black Infiniti sedan with stolen Virginia license plate: TAJ-1792.
Aggravated Malicious Wounding [Domestic] – On November 17 at 12:31PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4000 block of Cardinal Crest Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic-related shooting. The investigation revealed the victim, a 21-year-old woman, and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused shot the victim in the lower body before leaving the home. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Officers saturated the area and received multiple calls regarding the accused running in the area of Wertz Dr and Serendipity Rd where he was located and detained without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Abdulai BARRIE, was arrested.

The investigation revealed the victim, a 34-year-old man, and a family acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the victim was stabbed in the upper body. The accused then barricaded himself in an interior room within the apartment. The victim was able to safely exit the apartment and was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Over the course of several hours, officers attempted contact with the accused for a peaceful surrender. Nearby apartments were evacuated as a precaution in the event the incident escalated. Shortly after 4:30PM, the accused exited the room where he was then detained by officers. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Willie Bernard WALKER, was arrested.
