The Fredericksburg Food Co-op is gearing up for its annual Food for All 5K, a community-driven event aimed at increasing access to fresh, nutritious food for individuals and families in need.

The race will take place on Saturday, April 12, at the Fredericksburg Food Co-op, located at 320 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, welcoming participants of all ages to run, walk, or support the cause in person or virtually.

The event directly benefits the Co-op’s Food for All initiative, which offers affordable and nutritious food options through the Carrot Cash program. This program provides 20% cashback to customers using SNAP/EBT, allowing them to stretch their grocery budgets while making healthy choices.

“We believe that everyone should have access to fresh, healthy food, and the Food for All 5K is a fantastic way for the community to come together in support of that mission,” said Suzie Grumko, General Manager of the Fredericksburg Food Co-op.
