Due to extreme cold weather conditions, several school systems in the region have announced delayed openings for today, Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
- Stafford County: All schools will open on a two-hour delay to ensure the safety of students and staff during the frigid morning temperatures.
- King George County: Schools will also operate on a two-hour delay due to the cold and inclement weather conditions.
- Fairfax County: Public schools and offices will open two hours late. School Age Child Care (SACC) centers will open at 8 a.m.
