Rappahannock Area Health District
No one is hospitalized for the disease in the district, which includes Stafford, Caroline, King George, and Spotsylvania counties, and Fredericksburg City.
Statewide there are 1,071 people hospitalized with the disease, representing 0.0126% of the 8.5 million people who live in Virginia.
New restrictions put in place by Gov. Ralph Northam took effect today, limiting the number of people who can gather for in-person events to 25 people.
- Northam issued the edict by email on Friday, November 13 by email and took no questions from the press, requiring the governor’s office to issue a “major clarification,” noting the restrictions are mainly to prevent people from gathering for Thanksgiving holiday.

Fatal Hit & Run Crash Investigation – On April 24 at 10:19 p.m., officers responded to the area of Richmond Highway and Pine Bluff Drive in Dumfries to investigate a crash involving a motorcycle.
“7News On Your Side has obtained an email revealing Prince William County Public Schools removed a speech-language pathologist from their list of evaluators because he “sides with the parents.””, reports ABC7 News.
On April 27, crash investigators obtained arrest warrants for the driver of the truck who was involved in the fatal collision that occurred in the area of Richmond Hwy. and Pine Bluff Dr. in Dumfries (22026) on April 24. The investigation revealed the driver of the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck, later identified as the accused, failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle before entering the intersection where the vehicles collided. The resulting crash killed a 20-year-old Dumfries man.
