Mine Road now connects Route 610 with Courthouse Road

The final stretch of Mine Road has opened, connecting drivers with Route 610 in North Stafford to Courthouse Road.

It means drivers don’t have to make the sharp turn at Austin Ridge Road to get to Courthouse Road like they did before the last 2-mile stretch of the road was completed.

Hi Uriah,

I wanted to send along some news that might be helpful for folks traveling for the holiday weekend – especially around I-95 south near Stafford, VA.

In a ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning, Embrey Mill, an 819-acre master-planned community located off I-95 in North Stafford, Virginia, opened the final stage of Mine Road, which connects Garrisonville Road and Courthouse Road in Stafford, Virginia.

Upon completion, the additional 2.08 miles of roadwork on Mine Road is expected to significantly alleviate congestion throughout the area and residential corridors of Embrey Mill.

— Brittanie Price, Embrey Mill spokeswoman

A ribbon-cutting was held Wednesday, Aug. 28 for the final half-mile section of the four-lane road. A spokeswoman for the developer of Embrey Mill sent us the featured photo for this story.
