Stafford County is investing in its teachers with the purchase of 500 new Chromebooks

Stafford county’s School Board is investing in its teachers with the purchase of 500 new Chromebook computers.

The Board voted Tuesday to spend $125,000 on the new machines.

They will be distributed to instructors at the county’s Teaching and Learning Summit at Stafford High School on June 25 to 28.

The topics of the disunion are still being formulated, said schools spokeswoman Sherrie Johnson.

Gaithersburg, Md.-based Attronica computers will supply the Chromebooks to the county, according to school board documents. The funds for the new machines will come from the school division’s technology budget.

“Those teachers will continue using their issued Chromebook for years to come,” school board documents stated.
