We first told about a new Sheetz store coming to the corner of Telegraph and Caton Hill roads back in October.
This morning we received a press release from commerical real estate firm Graysteel about the closing of the land deal. The new store should be open by July.
Here’s more in a press release:
Greysteel, a national commercial real estate services firm, has arranged the sale of a 15-year Sheetz ground lease located in Woodbridge, VA for $4.639 million.
Greysteel Senior Investment Associate, Henry Schuldinger, of Greysteel’s Mid-Atlantic retail investment sales team served as the exclusive advisor and agent to the seller and procured the purchaser.
The triple-net leased property, located at 2540 Caton Hill Road, was sold pre-construction once lease payments commenced in November 2015. Sheetz is currently building its new prototype 6,900-square-foot store with gas pumps. The 24-hour store is expected to open for business by July 2016.
The property is located at the corner of Caton Hill and Telegraph Roads, adjacent to the largest park and ride lot in Northern Virginia and less than one mile from the Potomac Mills Mall, one of the largest outlet malls in the country. Surrounding retailers in the corridor include IKEA, Target, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Kohl’s, Wegmans, and CarMax.
