A Dumfries man is charged with malicious wounding after biting man’s finger, according to police.
According to report, the victim contacted police after receiving medical treatment for the injury.

Malicious Wounding – On April 1 at 11:56PM, officers responded to investigate an assault which occurred at a residence in the 2500 block of Sedgewick Pl in Dumfries (22026) on March 25. The victim, a 34 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused bit the victim’s finger causing a serious injury. The parties eventually separated and the victim contacted police on April 1 after receiving medical treatment. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.Arrested on April 1:
