A man suspected of holding a woman at knifepoint inside a Lake Ridge apartment is under arrest.
Police were called to a Food Lion at Dillingham Square on Old Bridge Road in Lake Ridge at 5 p.m. Saturday. A 38-year-old woman told police she was involved in an argument with a man at her home on nearby Pond Run Drive. The woman was assaulted, strangled, and then held at knifepoint and was prevented from leaving the home, according to police.
The woman was able to get away and call for help.
The suspect in the case was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Saturday. Police did not disclose the circumstances of his arrest.
Tyrique Lamont Nichols, 24, was wanted on charges of strangulation, abduction, and domestic assault and battery in connection to the case.
