Fire Burns Roof at Dale City’s Center Plaza

Update 5 p.m.

Fire and rescue crews were called Center Plaza in Dale City at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday for a fire on the roof of two businesses in the 4300 block of Dale Boulevard.

The fire caused $10,000 in damage and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

1:20 p.m. 

DALE CITY, Va. — Fire and rescue crews were called this early morning to Lydia’s Braids & Weaving and Center Plaza Cleaners at Center Plaza in Dale City.

The roof of the two businesses burned in the plaza that is anchored by a Giant Food Store.

Prince William fire and rescue spokeswoman Kim Hylander said information on the fire and the investigation will be released this afternoon. The stores are open for business today.

NBCWashington.com reports there was no damage to the interior of the buildings, and that flames broke out about 4:30 a.m. 

Center Plaza is located in the heart of Dale City at the intersection of Dale Boulevard and Minnieville Road.

The exchanges will take place the weekends of May 17-19, 2024, and May 31-June 2, 2024, at A Few Cool Hardware Stores network of employee-owned Ace Hardware stores in the DC and Baltimore metro areas.
