MANASSAS, Va. — A water bottle tossed at a police officer near Manassas landed a man in hot water.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 22nd at 6:20PM, a Prince William County police officer, on routine patrol, located the accused lying on the sidewalk in the 7200 block of Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109). During the encounter, the accused became agitated and threw a partially full plastic water bottle towards the officer, striking him. The accused was subsequently arrested. No injuries were reported.
