WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Police said a woman who worked at a jewelry store in Potomac Mills mall embezzled tens of thousands of dollars.

Embezzlement – On July 19th, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit executed a search warrant in connection to an embezzlement investigation which began in April of 2013.
The investigation revealed that a suspected employee of the Zales located at Potomac Mills Mall, 2700 Potomac Mills Cir in Woodbridge (22192), had embezzled close to $80,000 worth of jewelry from this location.
Over the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify the accused as the suspected employee involved in the thefts. On July 19th, detectives executed the search warrant at the home of the accused located at 12005 Governors Ct in Woodbridge. As a result of the search, several pieces of jewelry were recovered.
The accused was also arrested without incident.
