3 Charged in Dumfries Robbery

DUMFRIES, Va. — Three men are in custody after a man walking his dog was robbed at gunpoint in Williamstown.

Police said the robbery happened at 1:24 a.m. in the area of Williamstown Drive and Old Triangle Road in Dumfries. A car pulled up alongside the victim and two males armed with handguns got out and took the victim’s jacket and cell phone, then got back into the car and fled the area, according to police documents.

The victim went to a nearby home to call police, who then searched the area. Officers were able to find a car matching the description of the one given by the victim near U.S. 1 and Va. 234.

The victim was not injured in the robbery.

Geoffrey Tyrone Eubanks, 19, of 3404 Groveton Street in Alexandria, and Jerrod Marquis Galloway, 18, of 9508 Saluda Court in Lorton are believed to have the two who held the victim at gunpoint, police stated. Another man, 21-year-old Kenneth Leron , also of 9508 Saluda Ct in Lorton, is believed to have been the driver, according to police documents.

All were charged with robbery and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony and were held without bond. They are expected to appear in court May 16.
