North Stafford, Va. -- Parking is about to improve at Smith Lake Park in North Stafford.
The Stafford County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved the addition of 138 new spaces at the popular park. Though the park has five athletic fields, four can be used at one time because of the lack of adequate parking.
âThis is good news for our community,â said Stafford Griffis-Widewater District Supervisor Bob Woodson in a press release. âSmith Lake Park is a popular gathering place for families and sports teams, not just from Stafford, but from across the region. The additional parking will allow more people to enjoy the park, whether itâs during a sporting event, or during quality time with their loved ones.â
