2 Charged in Burglary Spree

Stafford, Va. — Two men are in custody today charged in a series of burglaries in North Stafford and Fauquier County.

Their recent string of burglaries targeted homes off Va. 610, on Chadwick and Newbury drives, Poplar Road in Staffords Rock Hill section, and on Tacketts Mill and Beaver Lodge roads just over the Stafford County line in Fauquier.

One of the men is accused of breaking into homes and stealing jewelry and firearms, and was arrested Oct. 21 after being under sureillenve by Stafford detectives, said sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

The second man charged in the spree was arrested Wednesday night in Fredericksburg with the help of that city’s police department. Items amounting to $39,000 in stolen goods stolen from Chadwick Court were found in the suspect’s home in Fredericksburg, said Kennedy.

with the intent to sell stolen property and with obtaining money by false pretenses, said Kennedy. He also faces charges in Fauquier County.

Harold Hare Jr., 26, of 322 Cannon Circle in Fredericksburg, faces charges of breaking and entering, obtaining money by false pretenses and with conspiracy with intent to sell stolen property, said Kennedy.

Both men are being held in the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
