Today is the last day to register to vote in the August 23 Primary Election.
The Virginia State Board of Elections put together a website to register to vote and check the status of voter registrations.
Locally, two Republican candidates will face each other in the primary.
Jeff Frederick and Tito Munoz are both vying for the Virginia Senate’s 36th District Seat, which encompasses Mount Vernon, eastern Prince William County and portions of northern Stafford County.
Munoz, also popularly known as “Tito the Builder,” hosts a radio show on a Spanish-
Speaking radio station in Quantico and recently challenged Frederick to an all Spanish-speaking debate.

Frederick is the former chair of the Republican Party of Virginia when he represented Woodbridge residents in Virginia’s House of Delegates.
Whoever wins the Republican Primary will face Democratic challenger and incumbent Toddy Puller in the general election Nov. 8.
