The driver involved in a crash that sent two people to the hospital has been charged.
Police say a 2002 Ford Expedition was traveling north on Parkway Boulevard at Flewellen Drive about 9 a.m. when it cross over the center line of the two-lane street and struck a Ford F-450 work truck owned by a landscaping company.
Two male employees of the landscaping company, ages 26 and 41, were standing outside of the truck at the time of the impact and were injured, said Virginia State Police Sgt. F.L. Tyler.
Both men were taken to an area hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening.
The driver of the Expedition was also taken to a local hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening, and the driver’s 7-year-old child in the backseat was not injured, said Tyler.
Marcia Soledad Jimez, 37, is charged with reckless driving, said Tyler.
Virginia State Police Trooper N.W. Coslicki investigated the crash.
Update 11:15 a.m.
A landscaper was seriously injured this morning when a car hit his work truck parked on the side of the road,and then plowed that work truck into him, witnesses said.
Rescue crews were called this morning about 9:10 a.m. to the area of Parkway Boulevard and Flewellen Drive in North Stafford after a pedestrian was reported struck.
When they arrived, crews leaned an auto accident had occurred and at least four people were involved in the crash.
Maria Pacheco was on her way to a nearby gym when she saw the crash happen. She immediately got out of her car and went to help.
“I saw a man lying on the ground covering his face with his hands, moaning, and then others came running to help. I grabbed t-shirts when everyone started yelling ‘we need something to cover him up,’” said Pacheco.
With many surrounding the most seriously injured man, she then went to check on a woman sitting in the driver’s seat in a black Ford Expedition that had been involved in the crash. Pacheco said the woman was trapped inside of her truck, and that a child was in the back seat.
Pacheco smelled smoke and then forced the door of the truck open, freeing the woman so she could get pull her child from the backseat.
“She said she didn’t what happened, but that she wanted to go over and check on the man lying on the ground,” said Pacheco. The Good Samaritan didn’t let her go see the man because she was worried the woman caused the crash, and kept her there at her own car.
The accident remains under investigation and officials have not identified the victims.
Parkway Boulevard was closed in both directions following the crash.

North Stafford, Va. –– One man is seriously injured after a car crash in North Stafford this morning.
Fire and rescue crews were called to Parkway Boulevard and Flewellen Drive about 9:15 a.m. after two cars collided head on, according to initial reports.
One man was seriously injured in the crash and appeared to be lying on the side of the road. Two others who were involved in the crash appeared to a have suffurred injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, according to initial reports.
Parkway Boulevard in the area of the crash, just past the Porter Branch of the Rappahannock Regional Library, was closed.
The crash was initially reported as a pedestrian who was struck by a car, but when crews arrived on the scene the call was upgraded to a car crash.
