Shot of the Week: Lens Flair Safety First

In my experience, 88 percent of the time taking a picture, when you point your camera directly into a light, you are going to get a poor shot. Add to that the pouring rain and you get an interesting thing called lens flair. It’s not the best thing to have in a picture.

In this shot, however, I liked the effect the lens flair had. It looks like the cab of the fire truck is in a bubble. Thank you to all the men and women who go out at all hours of the day and night to help us on what could be the worst day of our lives.
