Proposal would use schools’ health care money to fund teacher raises
The Stafford County Board of Supervisors appears to want more of a say on how the county’s School Board spends its money. Under a proposal from Supervisor Cord Sterling, teachers would get a 2-percent pay raise with funds given to the School Board from the county. But the money for the raises would come from funds already set aside by the School Board to pay for employee health care expenses, prompting debate on whether the schools already have enough to pay for health care and to provide teacher raises, Fredericksburg.com reports.

Tito the Builder a state delegate?
Tito “The Builder” Munoz on Thursday launched an exploratory organization, TitoPAC, so the he can explore the possibility of running for a seat in the Virginia General Assembly, reports Virginia Virtucon. Munoz, who lives near Dumfries, gained notoriety in 2008 when he was recognized during a John McCain presidential rally at the Prince William County Government Center.
