Fredericksburg passes ordinance aimed at those who lock pets in hot cars
Headed to Fredericksburg this summer? Leave the pets at home, or at least don’t leave them in the car in hot weather. Not only is it inhumane, Fredericksburg Tuesday night passed an ordinance that would make it a misdemeanor to lock an animal inside a car when temperatures are above 70 degrees, Fredericksburg Patch reports.

Nohe presents new map, aims to rename Dumfries District
Prince William Supervisor Marty Nohe, the man who stands to gain new constituents a large swath of the county in the redistricting process, presented a alternative redistricting map  that aims to quell those unhappy about previous plans presented, and to rename the Dumfries magisterial district to the Potomac District, Insidenova.com reports.
