Iodine pills for those who live near nuclear power plant
It’s no secret the Potomac Communities are not far from the North Anna Nuclear Power Station. Now the Virginia Department of Health says those who live within 10 miles of the power station –– located in Louisa County –– can now obtain potassium iodine pills to counteract the harmful effects of radiation following the disaster in Japan, Fredericksburg.com reports.
