Buying power plant would stifle competition, org says
A new Op-Ed piece this morning in Bacon’s Rebellion states Fairfax County’s plan to purchase the waste-to-energy facility in Lorton would lead to higher prices for energy and less competition. The facility is now leased to a private firm, but with the lease about to expire officials want to purchase the plant.
